1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how People Connect, LLC ('Company', 'we', 'us', 'our') collects, uses, and protects information through CalendarConnect ('Service'). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.
  • Calendar data: When you authorize calendar access, we access free/busy status only. We do not access meeting titles, descriptions, attendee lists, locations, attachments, or any other calendar content.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve the Service.
  • Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To display calendar availability overlays to authorized project participants
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, subscription confirmation, calendar authorization requests)
  • To improve the Service based on anonymized usage patterns
  • To communicate important updates about the Service or your account

4. What We Never Do

  • We never sell your data to third parties.
  • We never share your calendar data with advertisers.
  • We never access meeting content beyond free/busy status.
  • We never retain calendar data after you revoke access or are removed from a project.

5. Data Sharing

We share your free/busy status only with other authorized participants in your projects. No other calendar information is shared. We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Google APIs — Google Calendar free/busy access
  • Microsoft Graph API — Microsoft 365 calendar free/busy access
  • Each third-party service is bound by its own privacy policy and data protection commitments.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Calendar free/busy data is cached temporarily for display purposes and refreshed on each session. It is not stored permanently.
  • If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
  • If a participant revokes calendar access or is removed from a project, their calendar data is immediately removed from our systems.

7. Data Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
  • Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 for calendar connections and industry-standard session management for user accounts.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Revoke calendar access at any time
  • Export your data upon request
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@calendarconnect.net.

9. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, contact privacy@calendarconnect.net.

10. International Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (provided when you create an account and authorize calendar access) and legitimate interest (to operate and improve the Service). You may withdraw consent at any time by revoking calendar access or deleting your account. To submit a data request, contact privacy@calendarconnect.net.
